A speech covering events around Sharp Top Mountain from 1849-1970. To include: The California Gold Rush and its impacts on Pickens County, Colonel Sam Tate and the Tate Mountain Estates, The Civilian Conservation Corps of Pickens County, The Dude Ranch and Blink Drummond, arsons around Sharp Top, Mole Mountain and Mountain Oglethorpe, a convict camp escapee and the Connahaynee Lodge, Frank Spratlin and his son H. Dean Spratlin and the founding of Bent Tree.
This event is located in the Pickens room downstairs. Parking is in the back of the administration building.
